Iwona Everyone has a different image of God, but no matter what it is, many people know one thing: God wants something from me.
Some people prefer not to find out anything, living in – let’s say – remoteness. Others one day decide that they want to find out, and still others say: What can I care about God?
Meanwhile, God WANTS. It is certain! Before I write what I learned on this subject, directly, I will take off some of your cross by assuring you, which God certainly does not want:
God doesn’t want to punish you.
For anything you did or didn’t do. There was One who was punished and no more was needed. Jesus became the whipping boy for you: for everything from beginning to end.
God doesn’t want religion.
Because God is not a religion.
God doesn’t want to be like Santa Claus to you.
It has much more to offer.
God doesn’t want you to be poor.
People are often afraid of this – and it’s not true! God is rich and you can be too. In every possible way.
God doesn’t want you to just be good.
To be good, you don’t have to be His man. Atheists can be good too.
God doesn’t want you to follow the rules.
If you don’t know God, you can’t know His rules . There is no other way around.
God doesn’t want you to fear Him.
…and the most common phrase in the Bible is Don’t be afraid!
God doesn’t want you to be perfect.
This is not an attribute of God, it is of no use to you or to Him.
GOD WANTS
…give you everything that belongs to Him.
… take absolutely every burden off you.
… so that you do not follow the herd, but follow Him.
… free you from what binds you. (Fear? Arrogance? Desire for control? Low self-esteem? Guilt?…)
… a living, real relationship with you.
…forgive you everything as soon as possible so that He can move forward with you
… your life not based on rules, but on His presence
… give you a place next to me: not on the footstool, with your head down. You can’t wear a crown this way
…make you perfect. This is something completely different than being perfect.
… show you what dreams He has for you.
… Your „YES” to everything He comes up with
… for you to love Him and trust Him completely.
… for you to get to know Him. Personally.
What can you do about it? Come to Him as you are, just don’t hide any longer – only open arms and a lot of love are waiting for you
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity.[a] I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”
